Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

For something completely different
One of my dearest friends for over 30 years...yikes...is a manic drummer who lives in Austin. Not having seen each other in about 6 years, I took a side trip for lunch with Art Kidd. This is mostly for my sons...Art was present the day Craig was born...in the kitchen boiling scissors....thought they would get a kick out of seeing their Uncle Art especially Craig, who just turned 30 last April....wow! time flies. Thanks Art for a great lunch and conversation. I miss our long talks. We won't hold it against him that he and George W. were in the same class at Yale.
