Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

Opening Day of Market

To say that we are tired is an understatement but we are having room service tonight and early to bed. Yesterday we finished setting up the booth and did sample spree from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. Remind me to never do that again....but we had good sales so it was fun....just way too long for one day's work.
Market seems busy...don't know how much people are really buying since today was "let's check out every booth and come back later" day. We did really well. I am on cloud nine....Quilter's Resource picked up all my dvd's including the one due out in February. Getting a distributor was one of my main goals in coming to market....does that mean we can go home now?
Regretfully,we have been so busy that we haven't had a chance to see a single quilt yet. Tomorrow we are going in early so we can see the quilts. Can't wait....after all they are the stars of the show.
All in all, this has been very worthwhile and fun...let's see what the happens between now and Monday. Thanks for the tag Pam...promise to get to it when things are less hectic.

Fantastic finding a distributor! Way to go! But then your DVD's are GOOD so why shouldn't you find a distributor! Have fun!

You go GIRL! (with a high five and a hug). The booth is cozy and professional and I'll toast your success tonight with a glass of shiraz at dinner!
