Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

Self Portrait October 25

Better late than never...decided since all I would be doing was driving that I would document some of the trip home from Houston. I am so tired I could spit and so jazzed that I want to work immediately. However, I think I have a day off coming so tomorrow is mine all mine.
The sofa looks like it needs a good sitting....and my body definitely needs some kindness.
BTW, If any of you subscribe to Artella one of our Deborahs is featured in this month's issue. Looks wonderful Deborah...and if the rest of you don't know about this magazine check it out at

Gosh Gabrielle... thanks so much for mentioning Artella! I was thrilled to be published and I'm a big fan of Marney, the editor, designer and over-all amazing artist motivator!
