Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

I like them all. The "hippie" flowers are making a huge comeback, I notice, and are really popular. Walk through the bedding department for young girls and you'll see what I mean.
A flower design, stripe design and coordinating colorwash would make a great "companion" set for quilting fabric.
I can see that designing to sell is really difficult and a completely different thing than designing for your own artistic expression. Jen

I love this with that gorgeous blue. Just keep making stuff - the more you do, the more likely you are to find the winners!! (easy for me to say!)
