Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

Home to a very hot Texas..whew!

As promised here are the pictures from Big House Quilters...amazing women, amazing work. I cannot even begin to express how inspiring it was to work with these great ladies. Not only are they gracious to a fault but they are so skilled, open to learning and make you feel a part of their group, but they are also hilarious and make a mean bloody mary. Thank you again to all of the group for the opportunity to share this time together.
Georgia and Beth dropped me at the airport on their way home. I checked in early for stand-by and believe it or not, got on an early flight out. That means a whole day in the studio tomorrow. I am so jazzed, good tired and home until the middle of July.
Working with the Big House ladies is what teaching is all about ideas flowing between all the students back to the instructor and then to each other....the ideas are running through my head faster than I can get them to paper or fabric....but I will try....what a tough gig, huh?
Sorry for all the pictures but I had to share the entire experience with you...hope you enjoy them.

This looks like a fantastic class. Love the work your students did. Thanks for posting. We have missed you and Melody who is off at QSDS. Are you teaching the grid class on the west coast any time soon?
