Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

Self Portrait Tuesday November 29

Who am I really? Is it the words that I speak that give me identity to others? Do I keep secret parts of my identity by not speaking them? How much of language is who we are? How much of silence is our identity? Posted by Picasa

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows.

Wonderful considerations, Gabrielle! I believe the words we choose have a very strong impact on our own experience and how others perceive us. The Silence...such a healing place. It is the open space which allows all language & music to appear. May Silence fill this day with joy and inspiration!

Can we sit up late some night over drinks talking about this, Gabrielle? I always worry when I am getting too introspective - it's good to have company.
