The one that isn't working

Know where I want to go with this but just can't seem to get it to gel. This is the third attempt and I can already tell number four will be necessary.
Now you know how I have been spending my time. Feels as if the end of this time has come and now the sewing must begin. However, I would like to resolve this last design before moving on. Oh, well, maybe sewing will bring some ideas to consider.
