Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

Non-representational color study
Not much to say about this....again this was done during the hours spent with Dell Tech Support. A color study seemed appropriate especially since I rarely use blue in my work. Have no idea why; it just never makes it into a piece.
Rayna, thank you so much. What is it with blue? It is so dynamic but I always make another choice when faced with using it. Me, abstract expressionist...wow...you made my day.
Joanne, sometimes the negative space is more important than we can know. Delighted that you liked the piece.

Blue almost never makes into my pieces, either. No big surprise there. Love your abstract expressionist work, Gabrielle.
I like this--the blue is done vey nicely--gives the viewer space to interpret.
