Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

But Wait, More Good News
The Jarrah House, my favorite Asian restaurant from last year is also still open for business. Forced myself to fall in the door for take out and now am back in my room with all being right in the world. Get a load of the size of that diet coke, which by the way is $3.45 AU. So I close before the spicy chicken and soup get cold. Craig and Kelly, mom and dad of the twins, gave me their copy of season four of "24" to watch while I was gone. I missed so much traveling last year, I just gave up on it. However, note computer on table with food ready to watch first four episodes. Could life be any better? And they pay us to do this...there has to be something too wonderful about that...yep, like I said, I love my job. Stay tuned for more episodes of an American in Australia. Although the desk clerk is calling me Canadian to everyone so there will be no political discussions. Now if this Texas accent could just sound a little less Texan, heh.

Glad you made it OK and you are looking very chipper! What a good idea for the top shelf in a wardrobe. Now why didn't I ever think of that. Beats grovelling on the floor for shoes. Enjoy!
You are the queen! you carried 6 of those plus your dinner! uphill!
Have a great time and I love me some diet coke with lime!
The hair just gets better and better (and pinker)everytime you post.
I noted the ciggies with the food. I guess the patch wore off. heehee.
I'm impressed with lugging 6 of the DCwL anywhere, much less up a hill. On the other hand, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
Keep us posted.
Good grief, carrying six of those bottles uphill is a workout!!
Love the photos of you deciding between bed and food. :-)
I forgot you were is Oz! AND you watch 24! I love that show. Have a fun trip down under!!
Diet Coke rules! Have fun and thanks for sharing your journies, it's a fun read!
