Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

One Artist, Two Media
Just couldn't resist playing around with the camera to capture what has been going on in my head during the coaching process. I am sure you are all as excited about this as having one of your feet nailed to the floor. However, y'all know I contemplate, meditate and regurgitate for sport. However, just for fun thought I would try to show visually how I am learning to transition into new imagery as a quilt artist and also into working with a new media. Besides, it' s a cool tool to play with. Okay, now I promise not to post again until tomorrow.....which will be today for you since it is tomorrow here already....ouch, that makes my head hurt to even think about.

This is totally cool. How did you get this effect? Enquiring minds need to know!
This should now replace your sidebar image. It shows the true ARTISTE that you are.
Oy....wish I was with you. I would love to get over to Oz. I would HAVE to go to Perth, tho as my cousins would never forgive me if I came that far and didn't visit.
Am looking forward to more pictures of that lovely land *down under.*
When do you head for NZ??
teri
LOVE this image, Gabrielle!! Did you do it with just the camera or through photo editing software?
You are making me tired for you - I feel as if I need to go to bed and catch up on my sleep! I would so love to visit down under.
