Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

Boundaries and Exits

Much of what I am exploring is about boundaries and exits; ingress and egress. How I can get into my center; how I can get out of the easy choices, typical of my work. There is also the idea of stepping outside of myself and letting the work do itself with me as an active facilator for meaning. Posted by Picasa

Nice, free brushwork, great color partnering and I love the composition. I'm a big fan of circles (representing voids and entrances) and hard, structural elements that dash across the picture plan and punctuate the space or travel merrily across it. My favorite so far.
