Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
In my homeland of Northern California, four of the most overused terms are "juicy," "sacred," "radical," and "wild." I haven't made a scientific study, but I'd guess that maybe 30 percent of all workshops and self-help books originating in this part of the world have at least one of those words in their titles. As a connoisseur of language, I naturally try to avoid them myself. Nevertheless, your long-term astrological omens demand that I invoke them to describe your destiny. In fact, I'm duty-bound to predict that 2006 will be the Year of Juicy Sacred Radical Wildness for you Scorpios. Do your best, please, to express the primal potency of these words.
Okay Rob, I'll do my best. To the session with Eric Maisel, he really nailed me...spot on. Pushed buttons I didn't know I had or was avoiding. The assignments he has given me already have me so far out of my comfort zone that I have tied my ankle to the coffee table with strong twine. I am edgy, uncomfortable and yet know beyond a shadow of a doubt this is what I need to do and where I need to be. At this point in my self-confrontations, I cannot even articulate well what we discussed but promise to update when things start integrating.
Again, I cannot recommend strongly working with a coach...whether an art business coach like Alyson Stanfield (see yesterday's post) or a creative coach such as Eric Maisel. The simple truth is you don't know what you don't know but they do.
Off to dig deeper into the unknown.
Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

I've gotten the impression that when your buttons are pushed its a very good thing. So I'm looking forward to see what your juicy, sacred, radical, wild woman will do!
Gosh you've piqued my curiosity as to what exercises you're doing! Sounds radical! A sacred quest! May drive you wild but totally juicy! Grin! Have fun! Enjoy!
Outside the comfort zone is always good. Looking forward to your juicy year!!
Sounds like you're off and running, Gabrielle. Of course, the juicy, sacred (which I read as scared - Freudian slip there) radical, wild must apply to this scorp, too. Sounds like whoever wrote this has been taking lessons from the postmodern person.
May all good things come this year!
Keep us posted.

Hmmm....sounds like we're gonna have an interesting year. You know, AQT falls during my birthday (11/6) and I can't think of a better place to spend it or a better person to be with.
Can't wait to see what you come up with after having all those buttons pushed!! MY DH pushes my buttons too- just not the right ones.
