What a perfect way to end this trip. Deb is delightful...we share a love for Thai food and after much turning while following a map from the hotel, we arrived at the Thai Palms. Yummm....I had a Thai hot red curry; Deb went for the medium eggplant curry. We made a brief stop at Barnes and Noble looking for Twyla Tharp's book but no luck. However, said book is due out in paperback in Dec. Get those Christmas lists ready.
We discussed how much the ring has grown, cholestrol and tryglycerides, different ways of working, shoes (Deb wore a great pair of shoes she hand-painted; I was in my new turquoise sandals), my frenzy over market, and had our own private quilt show. Got to see both of the eucaluptus pieces up close and personal....wow! Deb is showing as the only quiltmaker in a "real" art show...way to go, Deb.
Around three, she headed home....sigh...but what a thrill to actually meet and spend time with a fellow ring member.
Now a question for all you tekkies. I am trying to post a new picture on my profile and can't get the blasted thing to work. I tried posting it as a draft and importing it to my profile but it keeps telling me there is illegal code.......eek, blogger police, my apologies. So any suggestions on how to accomplish this simple feat would be appreciated.
Finished packing after Deb left....was going to sew but have officially declared this a vacation....so back to reading instead. Home tomorrow with all that means...facing paper work and hoping Thom moved out his bed so I can move the office into his room.....just my way of saying, "Don't move back home." What a sweet mom I am.
Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

First of all, did you take photos at lunch? At least some shoe shots??
About the profile pic, are you uploading it through the dashboard page and still getting the illegal code error? Or are you trying to cut and paste code directly into your template? If you aren't doing it through the dashboard page, I'd try that first. If you are and you're still getting the code error, you might try renaming the photo file and then try uploading it again.
I'm sending email with more Blogger photo stuff. Sonji sent it to me some time ago, and she got it from Deborah... Jen
I posted my new picture in an archived old post, by going into edit and just adding the picture. Then I published that post again. I clicked on the picture to get its new url and pasted that url into the spot on my profile where you are supposed to put it. It took a couple of hours for Blogger to see it and put it up but it's there now for all the world to see.
