Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

The Ladies of Design

My compliments to each and everyone of these fantastic women. Some of whom had never even thought about doing an original design to others who were already skilled designers wanting to sharpen their skills. They have truly made the past two days a joy for me. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing your work, new ideas and great laughs. I will miss all y'all. Posted by Picasa

Maybe next time you should book a tour and visit guilds in different areas. Print up a newsletter mentioning your scheduled dates for the Melbourne workshop and mention that you would be available for dates following that. Accompanied by your "video crew," you could make a new CD and then sell the whole idea to HGTV - Quilting on the Road with Gabrielle.

I actually think it would be a great idea: 1. Watching a teacher interact with different quilt guilds in different countries and 2. Learning new techniques in a setting that allows you to see the students and their progress.

Human interest, varied scenery, cultural insights, reality tv, and technical "how to" !!!!!!
