Things are getting more and more eccentric at Casa de la Swain. Changing styles in my textile work, falling in love again with painting and photography...and then there is the ever illusive quest for continuing creativity through working with Eric Maisel. Still on the road teaching, posting now at the Ragged Cloth Cafe and taking the pledge to keep handmaiden up to date.

News Flash

In case you missed CNN this morning, George has just appointed John Bolton as ambassador to the UN during the congressional recess. A power he has as president, but not necessairly one he should have used. Don't ya think this will kinda effect Bolton's credibility? Ya know just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do it......but then that's how we ended up in Iraq, isn't it? Teeth on edge, I promise not to say anymore......my kevlar vest is at the cleaners.

I took a "political moritorium" on Sunday... and this happens on Monday. It's not fair!

Maybe it is... maybe this is a test of my ability to avoid these trying topics.

Of course he appointed Bolton. What else would he do? We rented "Star Wars Attack of the Clones" and the plot seemed oddly similar.

Hmmm.....I have kevlar skin. The Bolton appointment is, in my not at all very humble opinion, proof that Dubya's goal is to make us THE most hated nation on earth...oh, wait, we already are....ok, he wants to cement the deal. I would make a better appointment to the UN and I am famous for the open mouth, insert foot-to-knee statements.....but, at least I honestly like most people...Which I think is the exact opposite of Mr. Bolton.....
